WHAT TYPE OF COLOR IS GRAYSTONE – GREIGE OR GRAY?

Graystone is a WARM paint color. While it might look gray, Graystone straddles the line between warm gray and GREIGE. This means that Graystone can shift how it looks based on the EXPOSURE of your room.

If you have a north-facing room, Graystone will surely lean into gray but should never look cold or icy. If you have southern or afternoon western sun, Graystone can pick up a bit more of its greige warmth without leaning ANYWHERE near the beige end of things.

WHAT’S THE LRV OF GRAYSTONE?

Graystone has an LRV of 30. With this LRV, Graystone is a solid MEDIUM depth warm gray/greige paint color.

If you have a dark room, Graystone could look a bit drab and flat – you NEED adequate and quality interior light for it to look its best. On the other hand, in a super bright room, Graystone’s lower LRV helps it hold up to intense light, not washing out as much as lighter colors will.

WHAT ARE GRAYSTONE’S UNDERTONES?

Graystone has a subtle GREEN undertone which ebbs and flows depending on its surrounding finishes, the sheen of the paint, the interior lighting situation, and the room’s exposure.

In the above photo, notice how the strong hit of natural light takes quite a bit of the muddiness out of Graystone, lightens it up, and looks LESS GREEN than in some other spaces.
