The 14 Most Popular Benjamin Moore Paint Colors for 2026

What are the trending paint colors for 2026? Is gray really out – what’s replacing it? Is beige still in style? You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers – real answers.

The thing is, each brand’s Colors/Collections of the Year aren’t always a good look at what real people are using in their homes. Most homeowners and renters who are concerned with what’s happening ‘now’ want to know what’s currently being used, has a good chance of working in their home, and hopefully aren’t ‘fly by night’ colors – gone like a fart in the wind.

Right now, it’s late July, and a great time to see what’s popular so far and what’s clearly not. To determine which colors are the trendiest Benjamin Moore colors for 2026 (so far), I consider the following:

  • The hundreds of online paint color consults I’ve completed in the last 7 months.
  • Feedback/comments on my blog, YouTube, and Instagram re: certain colors.
  • Samplize facts based on sales (we’re like friends with benefits – I know things).

Now, giddyup, Sparklefarts, it’s time to spread some color chaos…

WHITES ARE THE MOST POPULAR COLORS IN 2026 SO FAR

While I wish it were otherwise, white slays the paint color world in a big way. In fact, 4 of the top 5 Benjamin Moore paint colors for 2026 are whites. I’m not surprised, but take that with a grain of salt (or maybe a teaspoon). Why?

  1. Yes, white is still trending on interior walls, cabinets, and exteriors (to a smaller degree). HOWEVER…
  2. White is the most common paint color in the average home, as it’s most often used on trim, ceilings, and doors – so it’s no surprise that white shows up in some form, regardless of its popularity on walls/exteriors.

These are 2 of the reasons why whites dominate the list. So, let’s get those out of the way so we can see what other colors are in style and happenin’ on walls, cabinets, exteriors, and more.

BENJAMIN MOORE’S TRENDING PAINT COLORS FOR 2026

As promised, it starts with white, white, and more white. But don’t worry, it gets more colorful.

1. BENJAMIN MOORE WHITE DOVE OC-17

Being one of North America’s leading paint color experts, and a HUGE supporter of White Dove, I like to think I played a big part in this one (in fact, I know I did). And there I was cursing the fact that 4 of the top shades were white!

Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter darkened on interior doors, non-white trim and door idea. Oak wood floor, black hardware

White Dove is an awesome, soft, warm white paint color. Great for walls, cabinets, trim – the whole shebang. It’s not a one-tricky pony, it’s a 10-trick friggin’ unicorn. Its LRV of 83.06 makes it a great way to get a soft, warm white look without too much starkness OR cream.

  • 2025: White Dove was in 1st place (beating all of Sherwin Williams colors, too).
  • 2026: My records show that White Dove still holds the top spot, as the most popular paint color for 2026 (so far – right now it’s late July – check with me in December).

2. BENJAMIN MOORE SWISS COFFEE OC-45

While I take credit for White Dove’s popularity, Shea, of Studio McGee, gets all the props for Swiss Coffee. This warm white flew under the radar until she used it in one of her homes – and it’s dead sexy.

It’s also proven to be popular on exteriors…

HOWEVERRRRR, one of the reasons I rarely suggest it is because, compared to White Dove, it’s a) slightly darker and b) a wink more inclined toward green. Now, Shea used Swiss Coffee 25% lighter, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she lost that green tinge in the process, which is why it works better.

Swiss Coffee has an LRV of 81.91, so it’s a white that winks hard at the off-white range.

  • 2025: My records show that Swiss Coffee was ranked 7th.
  • 2026: From 7th to 2nd, warmer whites are clearly popular for 2026, even more so than last year.

3. BENJAMIN MOORE PALE OAK OC-20

I’m not surprised Pale Oak has shown up at the party with tassels on (and not much else). Trends are warmer than they were, and Pale Oak is a great nod to the warmer end without a full commitment to beige. Here, it looks subtle and soft with cherry wood cabinets…

Cherry stained wood kitchen cabinets, heritage home, oak floor, black soapstone countertop and backsplash, radiator. Benjamin Moore Pale Oak paint color walls

Pale Oak has an LRV of 68.93, so it’s in the light range, but on the softer end. While the above image doesn’t show Pale Oak’s softness, pairing it with a brighter white trim can.

  • 2025: Pale Oak was in 14th place last year.
  • 2026: Now it’s in 3rd place, so it’s clearly making a name for itself in this trend cycle.

A color like Pale Oak often works for my clients who have early 2000s homes, as it can be a great transition color. That said, not all finishes suit its slightly pink hue. It also works for many gray-on-gray homes, as it can have enough gray to suit some finishes, while warming things up (not all the time, but it’s worth exploring).

4. BENJAMIN MOORE CHANTILLY LACE OC-65

Womp womp, another white. Seriously. I’m hitting this one quick so we can move on.

Chantilly Lace is a white I often recommend to clients who need a brighter white (LRV 90.04) without too much starkness. One of my favorite client projects has Chantilly Lace in a room that gets both north and south-facing natural light…

Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace Color Review

  • 2025: Chantilly Lace was in 2nd place.
  • 2026: I’m not surprised that it’s been replaced by warmer whites, as fewer of my clients want bright, more true white paint colors in their homes.

5. BENJAMIN MOORE SIMPLY WHITE

Okay, Simply White is a bright, warm white. I don’t recommend it as often as White Dove and Chantilly Lace, as its brighter, warmer undertone can be tricky. However, it IS a favorite of many. If you want to learn more…

6. BENJAMIN MOORE EDGECOMB GRAY HC-173

Ooookay, now we’re getting somewhere! I’ve been suggesting Edgecomb Gray to my Online Paint Color clients for years. As soon as I saw that shift away from gray, Edgecomb Gray was on my radar.

Here it is in my online client’s dining room, which receives minimal natural light…

Tropical style dining room, vaulted ceiling, no natural light (dark) Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray with Sherwin Tricorn Black painted french doors, home decor and rustic table

Edgecomb Gray is a light greige-taupe that winks at the beige world. It has an LRV of 63.09, making it a light depth color. Its flexibility between gray and beige is what can make it popular for a range of homes; however, it’s not a foolproof paint color by any means.

  • 2025: Edgecomb Gray was 16th in popularity last year
  • 2026: It’s definitely trendier in today’s home. Not only am I getting more requests for it from virtual paint color clients, but it’s jumped 10 spots, from 16 to 6 (I’m not just good-looking, I can do Math, too).

7. BENJAMIN MOORE REVERE PEWTER HC-172

I smiled when I read this one, as this color is friggin’ amazeballs.

Why?

Benjamin Moore REvere Pewter (darkened) painted interior doors with White Dove trim, lightened Edgecomb Gray on walls. Urbane Bronze on painted staircase railings and pots. Dark entryway

Grays are no longer in style; replaced by greige, taupe, beige, and creamier off-whites. Not only that, slightly darker grays like this aren’t always easy to use. However, Revere Pewter showed up in the early to mid-2000s and never left. We’re in the beige trend cycle, and Revere Pewter STILL WON’T LEAVE!

  • 2025: Revere Pewter found itself in a solid 9th place – nothing to complain about for a gray when grays weren’t really trending.
  • 2026: What do you know…Grays are out, yet this bad boy has moved up 2 spots in 2026. I LOVE THIS COLOR!

And while there are so few timeless paint colors, Revere Pewter surely earns a spot on the list.

99.5% of the photos in my blog are of REAL HOMES from my Online Color Consulting clients, readers, and friends. While not always magazine-perfect, they’re packed with ideas and proven color choices to help you create a home you’ll love.

Of course, this doesn’t mean it suits every home or interior finish – it doesn’t. In fact, it can be pretty dang fussy. However, it’s popular for walls, cabinets, exteriors, and even interior doors.

IN 2025, Revere Pewter was in 9th place, which means it’s moved up 2 spots in 2026 – it’s even MORE popular so far this year!

8. BENJAMIN MOORE BALBOA MIST OC-27

If you love the look of #4 – Pale Oak, compare it with Balboa Mist.

Balboa Mist has an LRV of 65.53, making it a light shade of warm gray. It has a pretty, soft warmth and can appear with a gentle purple-pink hue. While undertones like this can put some people off, they go well with a wide range of interior finishes.

  • 2025: Balboa Mist found itself in 17th place, which isn’t bad given that whites were SO HOT and grays were on the way out.
  • 2026: I’m not surprised that Pale Oak whupped Balboa Mist’s butt, as it’s often the better color option for my client’s homes. All the same, 8th place ain’t shabby.

9. BENJAMIN MOORE OCTOBER MIST 1495

I’m not at all surprised that October Mist is in the top 10 for 2026. It was the Color of the Year for 2022 and stayed for the long haul, as one of North America’s favorite green paint colors.

  • 2025: October Mist ranked 49th, which isn’t bad given the thousands of colors out there.
  • 2026: Jumping up considerably to 9th place speaks quite clearly to current paint color trends. Many are searching for the perfect, organic, calming shade of green – just like this.

In this next image, my lovely client was looking for the perfect shade of green. We sampled a range, including some cool-appearing shades and more sage-inspired paint colors, including October Mist…

10. BENJAMIN MOORE SEAPEARL OC-19

While Sherwin Williams comes in with their super popular shades called Shoji White and White Duck, Benjamin Moore offers their distant, slightly crossed-eyed cousin – Seapearl.

Don’t get me wrong, Seapearl can be gorgeous, but it’s super unpredictable. It has an LRV of 76.43, making it a lighter shade of off-white than the usual bunch. As for undertones, it often appears with a gentle creamy vibe but can easily pick up pink or green, depending on the surrounding conditions, including finishes and lighting.

2025: In 2025, Seapearl was in a whopping 74th place. Sure, it had some popularity, but nothing like this year.

2026: Being in 10th place, there’s no doubt this is a trending paint color thanks to its soft, gentle warmth.

My experience shows it’s more popular as an exterior paint color, replacing the previous white Modern Farmhouse trend. I find it far more hit-or-miss with interiors.

11. BENJAMIN MOORE NATURAL CREAM

There is one reason, and one reason only, why Natural Cream made the top list – painted kitchen cabinets.

Kitchen cabinets, brown quartz countertop, cabinets painted Benjamin Moore Natural Cream paint color.

The more popular trend is to pair it with warm white or off-white quartz countertops

Natural Cream isn’t a super popular color for walls or exteriors; however, it’s taken the cabinet world by storm. Now, just because a color is being sampled (via Samplize stats) doesn’t mean it’s the final choice. But regardless, many people are curious about this color.

Benjamin Moore Natural Cream Paint Color Review

Natural Cream has an LRV of 64.78, which puts it nicely in the middle of the light range. With off-white and light cabinet colors trending, it easily fills this role.

Here are Natural Cream kitchen cabinets in my friend’s beautiful home in Whistler, Canada.

  • 2025: Hahaha, Natural Cream was in 106th place in 2025. Hmmm. And who loves to use Natural Cream on their cabinets? Again, the ever-lovely and talented, Studio McGee.
  • 2026: 11th place – nuff said.

Remember, just because a talented Designer made a color look amazing (as she did), doesn’t mean it’s a great fit for the average home. That’s all I’ll say on that…for now.

12. BENJAMIN MOORE PASHMINA AF-100

I’m so happy Pashmina made the list – I’m obsessed with this color. While not everyone loves its organic, moody vibe, I frequently recommend it for entire rooms, accent walls, kitchen cabinets, exteriors, and more.

Pashmina has an LRV of 44.2, making it a light-medium shade with a moody attitude. While it doesn’t commit hard to undertones, give it the right conditions, and it can appear a tiny bit green or taupe. It can also lean into a nice, almost-beige warmth in some conditions.

  • 2025: I seriously giggle out loud, seeing where some of these colors were last year. Pashmina was in 157th place. Not hitting too many people’s radars, even though it’s been hitting mine for YEARS.
  • 2026: I’m beyond happy to see it land in 12th place. With many homeowners and renters craving an organic, nature-inspired, calming vibe, Pashmina shows up.

13. BENJAMIN MOORE SAYBROOK SAGE HC-114

While October Mist is Benjamin Moore’s most popular green paint color, many have fallen for Saybrook Sage.

What’s the difference?

Benjamin Moore October Mist in a guest bedroom with upholstered neutral headboard

Well, it sure as heck ain’t depth. October Mist’s LRV of 46.54 is fractionally different from Saybrook Sage’s 45.46 – we’re splittin’ short n’ curly hairs with this one.

Here’s your Peel & Stick sample of Saybrook Sage

Benjamin MOore Saybrook Sage, green paint color, anti-trend or timeless shade

Where they differ is in their approach to color. They have comparable warmth (Saybrook Sage can appear sliiiightly warmer). However, October Mist has a bit less green, so it’s not as colorful as Saybrook Sage. This gives October Mist a bit more of an organic, nature-inspired look.

  • 2025: 154th place. Wow.
  • 2026: Seriously, the fact that colors like October Mist and Saybrook Sage have gained SO much popularity in 2026 goes to show where color trends are – love it!

14. BENJAMIN MOORE HALE NAVY HC-154

OH HAAAAALE YES! Seriously, some of these colors on this list are like going to a family reunion for me – I’ve been lovin’ on these colors for years. Hale Navy’s been stickin’ it out through trend after trend and keeps coming out on top – or at least in 14th place.

Why?

Blue and green are timeless paint colors. While the type of blue (or green) that’s currently popular might ebb and flow, classic navy blues are often in play.

Hale Navy is a classic navy blue paint color. Found in Benjamin Moore’s Historical Colors, Hale Navy is massively popular in 2026, and in previous decades, on accent walls, front doors, kitchen islands, and more.

  • 2025: Hale Navy was the 19th most popular paint color.
  • 2026: I’m proud of my lil’ blue baby, coming in 14th place, especially when it’s up against so many gorgeous greens, taupes, and warm whites.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For any roaming quandaries or concerns…

WHAT’S THE MOST POPULAR BENJAMIN MOORE PAINT COLOR IN 2026?

Based on the previous stats and my Online Color Consulting work…

  • MOST POPULAR NEUTRAL: Benjamin Moore Pale Oak (aside from whites)
  • KITCHEN CABINETS: Benjamin Moore White Dove
  • SINGLE ROOMS: Benjamin Moore Pale Oak followed by Edgecomb Gray
  • OPEN-CONCEPT SPACES: Benjamin Moore White Dove or Edgecomb Gray
  • WHOLE HOMES: Benjamin Moore White Dove (although Sherwin Williams beats this)
  • KITCHEN ISLANDS: N/A – Sherwin Williams has all the most popular choices this year
  • KITCHEN CABINET COLOR: Benjamin Moore Natural Cream
  • FRONT DOOR: Benjamin Moore Charcoal Slate
  • ACCENT WALLS: Benjamin Moore Hale Navy

Now, to get a few of the big things out of the way…

IS GRAY OUT OF STYLE FOR 2026?

Yes. End of story. Just joking, you KNOW I love to hear myself talk and type. Gray still has its place on many exteriors. However, on walls and cabinets, it’s no longer popular. If I do 10 consults a day, I miiiiight get 1 who asks for just gray.

Thankfully, gray will always be in style on many of my clients’ exteriors. It’s about the right color on the right home.

IS BEIGE IN STYLE?

You bet your cutie lil’ booty it is. Beige is back. Most of my clients are asking for light shades of beige – nothing too rich or moody. This is well supported by the Top 200 from Samplize.
