Kilim Beige: A Popular WARM Beige Paint Colours
When it comes to beige paint colours, it can be hard to find one with JUST the right undertones to suit your countertops, tile and furniture AS WELL as your personal preferences! Which is why Kilim Beige could be a contender as it seems to suit a WIDE range of interior finishes and personal tastes.
I love to show RELATEABLE & REAL homes, so ONLY use photos from my Online Colour Consulting clients. This means I don’t always have the quality pics I need (hence the ‘QUICK Review’), but DEFINITELY have some SUPER helpful info to help you on your way!
What type of paint colour is Kilim Beige? It is warm or cool?
Kilim Beige is DEFINITELY a warm paint colour that’s actually warmer than many of the other popular beige paint colours. You’ll find that many beige paint colours have a more golden-approach to them and are more likely to have a yellow-orange or orange-pink undertones, whereas many TAN paint colours are more muted and subdued. Kilim Beige is ALLLLL beige – and then some!
Is Kilim Beige an OVERLY warm neutral paint colour?
Yup, it sure is! There are warmer options (that just aren’t popular enough to review at this time), but Kilim Beige IS one of the warmest beige paint colours in this range, while still looking ‘neutral’.
What’s its LRV?
Kilim Beige has an LRV of almost 57. This puts it in the light range, but it has a bit more body and depth than some of the more typical, lighter beige paint colours.
Not sure what LRV is? It could save your paint lovin’ life – read all about it HERE.
What are its undertones? Will it look orange or pink?
When it comes to the undertones of Kilim Beige, it ALL depends on how sensitive you are. It DOES have an orange-pink undertone, but I’ve had MANY Colour Consulting clients who’ve found it to be the perfect neutral for their home and they don’t see the undertones at all. But, if you place Kilim Beige alongside green, blue, or neutrals with those cool undertones, you might see the undertones of Kilim Beige a whole lot more (opposites can make each other stronger)!
You’ll also see an interesting shift depending on your EXPOSURE. Kilim Beige CAN be a bit toasty looking in the warmth of south-facing light or afternoon western light, but that ALSO depends on your personal preferences, because if you love a warm looking room, it could be right up your alley!

Like with every paint colour, I highly recommend using SAMPLIZE. Samplize is a peel & stick paint sample that you can easily move around your room for over HALF THE COST of traditional sample pots – and they deliver right to your front door!

If I’m painting my walls Kilim Beige, what’s the best white paint colour for my trim?
Kilim Beige can be a bit tricky with its orange-pink undertones, so I’m inclined towards a warm neutral like Sherwin Williams Alabaster – not too stark OR too yellow.

Is Kilim Beige a good colour for the exterior of my home?
It really depends on your stonework, brickwork and roof colour. Kilim Beige works QUITE well with many of the warmer stone options as well as some brick colours, as long as they have that orange-pink undertone in them as well.

Is it popular paint colour right now?
You bet it is! While a lot of people WANT a more neutral looking beige or tan paint colour, Kilim Beige works with a lot of the tiles, countertops and carpets from the late 90s and 2000s, as many of those products harbour similar undertones (some travertine tiles in particular).

What type of paint colours look good with Kilim Beige?
Kilim Beige does have a few considerations as it’s a beige with a bit more body and depth than the average beige paint colour. Kilim Beige likes to be partnered with…
- Some gray paint colours that are the same depth OR darker than it. It doesn’t love gray paint colours that have a HIGHER LRV than it
- Some greige or taupe paint colours that again, are the same depth or DARKER than Kilim Beige
- Blue-green blends that are a bit darker or even considerably darker
- Light beige and cream paint colours that nod towards a similar undertone blend
