Benjamin Moore Shaker Beige: LRV, Undertones and a Little More
Are you ready to SHAKE IT BABY? Because today, we’re taking a look at one of the more popular, slightly old-school, beige paint colours – Benjamin Moore Shaker Beige.
In order to show you RELATEABLE & REAL homes, I ONLY use photos from my Online Colour Consulting clients. This means I don’t always have the quality pics I need (hence the ‘QUICK Review’), but DEFINITELY have some SUPER helpful info to help you on your way!
What type of paint colour is Shaker Beige? Is it warm or cool?
Shaker Beige is ABSOLUTELY a warm beige paint colour with a bit more undertone/warmth than many of today’s popular beige and tan paint colours.

What’s the LRV of Shaker Beige?
Shaker Beige has an LRV of 54.61, making it a light-medium depth paint colour. If you have a super bright room, you’ll find this LRV holds itself a bit better than a colour with a higher LRV, which can easily washout in a well-lit room.
Not sure what LRV is? It could save your paint lovin’ life – read all about it HERE.
What are the undertones of Shaker Beige? Will it look orange, yellow, pink or like a TRUE beige?
Shaker Beige favours an orange undertone but does nod politely to pink (just a bit).
What’s the best way to sample Shaker Beige and other paint colours?
Like with every paint colour, I highly recommend using SAMPLIZE. Samplize is a peel & stick paint sample that you can easily move around your room for over HALF THE COST of traditional sample pots – and they deliver right to your front door!

Is Shaker Beige a popular paint colour right now?
Shaker Beige isn’t super popular only because that’s not where the trends are right now. If my Online Paint Colour Consulting clients are looking for a beige, they’re usually wanting a more muted approach.
