Palladian Blue is a cool paint color; however, even this is open to perception! Often, people see blue-violets as cool and blue-greens as warm. While they’re both cool paint colors, there’s something soft and inviting about blue-green hues that draw us in.

If you have a south-facing room or one with afternoon western sunshine, Palladian Blue is a great color to balance out that warmth. On the other hand, while some colors can be too icy cold for north-facing rooms, Palladian Blue’s particular blend prevents it from looking icy and uninviting (again, that can be open to perception).

As shown above, a color like Palladian Blue can even work in a darker room or hallway as its degree of chroma (color) helps it rise!

That would be a hard no from this color cowgirl. Palladian Blue is too cool, light, and colorful to go with cream finishes; you risk your cream looking even more yellow (which isn’t usually the goal).

Heck yes, Palladian Blue can be stunning with wood trims, cabinets, and flooring. If your room is wood on wood and it ain’t good, breaking it up with a cool blue-green can be a great way to add balance and harmony.

IS PALLADIAN BLUE A GOOD COLOR FOR KITCHEN CABINETS?

Ehhh, I can see it being super cute in a laundry room where there aren’t typically a ton of cabinets. However, in a kitchen where there tends to be a lot of cabinets, it could feel a bit overpowering. Personally, I’d prefer to see it on the walls or just as an accent.
