Palladian Blue appears as a cool paint color in every home; however, even this is open to perception! With its chroma (degree of color) and distinctive blend, many see it as a welcoming, inviting shade, regardless of temperature.

If you have a south-facing room or one with afternoon western sunshine, Palladian Blue is a great color to balance out that warmth. On the other hand, while some colors can be too icy cold for north-facing rooms, Palladian Blue’s particular blend prevents it from looking icy and uninviting (again, that’s open to perception).

As shown above, a color like Palladian Blue can even work in a darker room or hallway, thanks to its high chroma (color saturation), which helps it pop!

That would be a hard no from this color cowgirl. Palladian Blue is too cool, light, and colorful to go with cream finishes; you risk your cream looking even more yellow (which isn’t usually the goal).

DOES IT GO WITH WOOD TRIMS & CABINETS?

Heck yes, Palladian Blue can be stunning with wood trims, cabinets, and flooring. If your room is wood on wood and it ain’t good, breaking it up with a cool blue-green can be a great way to add balance and harmony.

IS PALLADIAN BLUE A GOOD COLOR FOR KITCHEN CABINETS?

Ehhh, I can see it being super cute in a laundry room where there aren’t typically a ton of cabinets. However, in a kitchen where there tends to be a lot of cabinets, it could feel a bit overpowering. Personally, I’d prefer to see it on the walls or just as an accent.
