Sherwin Williams Lullaby SW 9136: LRV, Undertones and a Little More
Looking for a beautiful blue? Sherwin Williams Lullaby has got both you AND your walls covered.
In order to show you RELATEABLE & REAL homes, I ONLY use photos from my Online Color Consulting clients. This means I don’t always have the quality pics I need, but DEFINITELY have some SUPER helpful info to help you on your way!
Is Lullaby more blue or more gray?
Lullaby is DEFINITELY a true-blue paint color, however, it does have a gray base to calm it down. This means that while Lullaby has a very noticeable color or chroma, it’s not overwhelming. Just keep in mind, all blues are NOT created equal.
Lullaby can be pretty in north-facing light, but ONLY if you’re comfortable with a considerably cool look. Because it’s a cool paint color (blue), its color and temperature will only be enhanced by the already cool northern light.
On the other hand, if you have south-facing or warm western afternoon sunshine, Lullaby is an awesome way to balance out those warm rays beaming in your windows!

What is Lullaby’s LRV?
Lullaby is a light depth paint color with an LRV of 65. If you have a super bright room, it WILL washout. Just remember, this can change a lot throughout the day, so make sure you judge it based on a full day. If you have a dark room, a color like Lullaby is a great way to add some personality, whereas many grays can fall flat.

What are the undertones of Lullaby? Is it blue-green or blue-purple?
While Lullaby does COMMIT to its blue, there’s also just a weee tiny wink of green in there. Is it enough to worry about if you don’t like green? I don’t think so. Want MORE green? Well, I’ve got that too (coming up shortly).
You’ll also want to pay close attention to your LIGHT BULBS, as they will definitely sway how Lullaby looks!
How should I sample paint colors?
I highly recommend using SAMPLIZE. Samplize is a peel & stick paint sample that you can easily move around your room for over HALF THE COST of traditional sample pots – and they deliver right to your front door!

Chat soon,
We have lulllabye in our northeast facing mudroom. It’s quiet and serene but it has some depth. I like it most in the evenings with artificial lighting dimmed a little. Our recessed lights are 2700k so it warms the space. It looks very clean and crisp throughout the day.
