Benjamin Moore Grant Beige: LRV, Undertones and a WHOLE Lot More!
When it comes to beige and tan paint colors, it can be hard to find that perfect one – not too golden, not too pink, not too early 2000s. However, regardless of the decade, Grant Beige is one of those paint colors that keeps on working, and today, we’re going to find out why!
What type of paint color is Grant Beige? Is it beige or tan?
While a lot of people assume beige and tan are the same thing (and they’re close), I see them a bit differently. In my books, Grant Beige is actually MORE like a tan, as it doesn’t have the traditional golden warmth of many beige paint colors and falls back a bit more soft and neutral, which is consistent with many of the popular tan paint colors.
Is Grant Beige a warm or cool paint color?
While Grant Beige IS a warm paint color, it’s not golden warm and is more subtle in its approach.

What’s the LRV of Grant Beige?
With an LRV of 56, Grant Beige is teetering on the edge of the light range, but giving a SOLID nod to the light-medium end of things, with a bit more visual weight than some other popular tan paint colors.

What are the undertones of Grant Beige? Will it look gold, green or yellow?
All beige and tan paint colors have undertones, and Grant Beige is no exception. Grant Beige has a very (very) minor green undertone and of the warm undertones, caters just slightly to yellow. Overall though, it’s a relatively passive neutral.

Like with every paint color, I highly recommend using SAMPLIZE. Samplize is a peel & stick paint sample that you can easily move around your room for over HALF THE COST of traditional sample pots – and they deliver right to your front door!

THE 8 BEST BLACK PAINT COLOURS: Benjamin Moore & Sherwin Williams

Hello! Love your blog and you tube color reviews! Learning so much about color undertones and LRV value. I am considering Grant Beige or Coastal Fog for my family room. I currently have Glacial Till, Ben Moore Affinity color, and want to lighten up just a tad and also take away some of the pink undertones I see in my bright sunshine filled room. Like that paint color so much more at night! Thanks for the review on Grant Beige. Looking forward to sampling it.
