Decorating & Design: The Best Paint Colors (& More)
I started my Kylie M. YOUTUBE channel a few years ago, seeing if I could get any interest and hot damn, it worked! Now, I have almost 46,000 followers – THEY LIKE ME, THEY REALLY LIKE ME! Well, the guy who commented on my chest size really liked me. And bless his heart, he thought I was a ‘C’ cup! Ummm, sir, it’s not THAT type of YouTube channel…but I’ll take that as a compliment.
In our old home, we didn’t have a spot for the setup, meaning I had to shut down my office for one to two days to set up the lights/camera and get some videos shot. And at the rate that my Online Color Consulting business was growing, it wasn’t long before the idea of ‘shutting down the office for a day or two’ was NOT in the cards! So, I took a break from videos…and moved…a few times.
Our new home has more space than we need, and I finally have a dedicated video room! Now, don’t get all excited; I’ll be fully clothed and staying somewhat within the boundaries of what I should/shouldn’t say on camera (until you see the blooper reel, now THAT is something special).

I have been waiting & waiting for the Gossamer Vail video. Thank you!!! Love the sample painted on a bigger pallet in the video. Can you tell us what color the stick/trim is that you hold against it for contrast? I have Alabaster trim & doors. I’m not sure it would work with Gossamer. Thank you!!!
Hi Lisa! That is actually plain ole white, nothing exciting! And I know, it’s GV so pretty! It’s that bit warmer than people expect, while still being grayish feeling, it’s pretty cool. And I see no prob with AlabaSter and GV. The warmth of Alabaster will be a subtle complement to GV!
Thank you so much! I’m going to give GV a try. 🙂
I like it – well done 😉
Thank you! This is awesome!
Your girls do look pretty good Kylie!! And I’m a girl! Seriously I love your blog and am always so happy to see your emails arrive in my inbox. Thanks for all the info and help you give to us all.
Thanks Cammy 😉 I love it when someone gets my humour!
Hi there great tips always…love getting your updates. Where do you get the white material that you do your sample boards on?
Hi Marjie! It varies, but usually, I buy the 9×11 canvases from Michaels Craft Store! This way there’s a bit of texture.
