Sherwin Williams NEWEST Collection of Paint Colours: DESIGNER EDITION
It’s not often that a paint brand comes out with a whole new line of colours. So, needless to say, I’m SUPER pumped that Sherwin Williams introduced an entirely new line in a collection called ‘Emerald Designer Edition’.
Hooray, more colours to choose from, we were running out of options – SAID NOBODY EVER! Well, nobody but ME. Because while you might already be swimming in the deep end of the paint pool, I live and BREATHE this stuff. And that’s why you have me, to get rid of the riff-raff and point you towards today’s TOP paint colours – consider me your floatation device.
So, let’s talk about what you can expect with this new collection…
- 200 NEW COLOURS that can ONLY BE MADE in the Emerald Designer Edition line (which you KNOW I’ll be trying to colour match in less expensive lines, just to see if I can)
- FOUR FINISHES: matte, flat, satin and semi-gloss
- NEW BRIGHTER WHITES: which I’m always happy to see
- Better HIDE than their other lines. Hide means it will cover old surfaces better with fewer coats and could potentially save you buying another gallon (or from having to use primer). This is courtesy of a new white base (every paint starts out with a base, which is what’s in the gallon when you pull it off the shelf)
This paint is HIGH-END and is priced accordingly. But if the rumours are to be believed, it’s a pretty fantastic product and the new colours are hard to beat.
So, in the next few weeks/months, I’ll be reviewing this collection, starting with what I THINK will be the top-sellers. If there are any colours you want me to review from this new collection, let me know!

Sherwin Williams Top 10 Gray and Greige Paint Colours
I would love to see if you can get them to color match to a different line! I’m seriously considering it for the Succulent color, which is a close match to Benjamin Moore Enchanted Forest or Caldwell Green (based on paper swatches only). My cabinet maker only uses Sherwin Williams cabinet paint, so it would have to be color matched.
P.S. Would love to see you review Succulent as a color, too 🙂 It’s so hard to pick the right moody green-blue-gray (especially if you’re allergic to the lighter tones like I am).
