Painted Furniture Before and After:  My $10 Trestle Coffee Table Re-do

I found this great little coffee table at the Recycle Depot for $10. It was pretty fugly and I wasn’t entirely sure how it was going to turn out as it’d been beaten more times that the Edmonton Oilers (hehe Tim).

I sanded my lil’ heart out to get that solid colour stain off of the top. I even busted out ye’ old wretched furniture stripper and even that barely put a dent in it!

Once I had the top thoroughly sanded and the base thoroughly scuffed I moved on to the painting part.

On the top, I used MinWax Polyshades in Royal Walnut and applied several coats to get the depth I wanted.

And what do you know, after all the blood, sweat, wine and tears, this wretched lil’ beastie turned out quite lover-ly!
