Van Gogh Chalk Paint Project – First Kiss and Halo
In a past life (so last year) I had enough time on my hands to do a bit of furniture painting here and there. These days, I hardly have time to paint my toenails, nevermind a piece of furniture!
HOWEVER, I do want to show you this gorgeous dresser I did a while ago.
Before
She had lovely bones but was looking a bit worn and outdated. I knew that all she needed was a little KLC (Kylie Lovin’ Care) to feel brand new again (because she is a girl of course)
I love both Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Van Gogh Fossil Paint (really the same type of thing – Annie just owns the ‘Chalk Paint’ term) and it was Van Gogh who had just the colours I was looking for…

Because this dresser had 2 tiers I decided to do a 2 colour application that was soft, subtle and would gently accent the 2 layers of drawers.
Chalk Paint is so wonderful because while you do have to wax/buff when you are done (wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off – did I just date myself?) you don’t have to do any sanding so all I had to do was gear down and get down to business!
While she has since found a new home, I still kick myself for selling her as she turned into a real beauty!
And as always, if you like it please Pin it (just hover over the picture and the button will pop up) or share it!
Happy Painting!
