Open Concept Kitchen and Dining Room Remodel
I am doing a MAJOR MAJOR redo of this post – with new (non-blurry photos) – if I were you, I’d check out the rest of my portfolio!
This kitchen remodel in Nanaimo was designed around wall removal to create an open layout design plan.
This shows how 1 single wall can make all the difference in the world! It was a supporting wall so the header beam had to remain, however it’s hardly noticeable now that there is a view right from the living room and dining room into the kitchen. We were also able to accomodate stools at the banjo shaped island as well as a cooktop into this new kitchen design.
The cabinet fronts were starting to peel and weren’t salvageable. I also knew that there was a WAY better layout in store for this space!
After – New layout, new everything
We got rid of the U-shape kitchen layout and did an L-shape with an oversized island.
