Wall Removal to Create Open Floor Plan – Kitchen Remodel

Open Floorplan Kitchen and Dining Room Remodel

This kitchen remodel in Nanaimo was designed around wall removal to create an open layout design plan.

This shows how 1 single wall can make all the difference in the world!  It was a supporting wall so the header beam had to remain, however it’s hardly noticeable now that there is a view right from the living room and dining room into the kitchen.  We were also able to accomodate stools at the banjo shaped island as well as a cooktop into this new kitchen design.

A few project details:

  • 12 x 24 high gloss porcelain floor tiles
  • cherry cabinets
  • granite countertops
  • 9′ island with cooktop and stools
